Why headlights turn yellow

Most headlight lenses are polycarbonate plastic with a thin UV coating from the factory. Years of sun wear that coating away, and the plastic underneath starts to oxidize. That’s the yellow haze.

Polishing alone makes them look better for a few weeks. Then the yellow comes back, because nothing is protecting the plastic anymore.

How we fix it

We tape off the paint around each headlight, then wet sand the lens in stages to remove the oxidized layer. Polishing brings back the clarity. The last step matters most: a ceramic UV coating that takes over the job the factory coating used to do.

When restoration won’t help

If there’s moisture or fog on the inside of the headlight, or the lens is cracked, the problem is the housing, not the surface. Sanding the outside won’t fix it. We’ll take a look first and tell you before you pay for anything.

Price
